There is no single appliance that is right for every smile. Your orthodontic examination, diagnostic records, bite, facial proportions, oral health, lifestyle and priorities guide the recommendation.

A reliable and versatile option for a wide range of tooth and bite corrections. Modern brackets are smaller than many patients expect.

Tooth-coloured brackets offer a less noticeable fixed-brace option while retaining the control of a conventional appliance.

Removable, transparent aligners—including Invisalign® where suitable—move teeth through a planned sequence of trays.

Fixed braces with built-in clips that hold the archwire. Suitability and expected benefits are assessed for each case.

Braces fitted behind the teeth can offer a discreet approach for selected patients, with planning based on the individual bite.

Fixed or removable retainers help maintain tooth positions after active treatment and are an essential part of long-term care.

Helpful answers
General guidance about braces and aligners. Your clinical assessment provides the information relevant to your own teeth and bite.
Follow-up appointments are required periodically to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments. The interval depends on the type of braces, aligners or orthodontic appliance being used.
Your journey begins with a consultation, clinical examination and appropriate records. Your orthodontist explains the diagnosis, suitable options, expected duration, fees and treatment plan. Once braces or aligners are fitted, regular reviews help monitor progress. After active treatment, prescribed retainers and follow-up visits help maintain the corrected tooth positions.
Depending on your orthodontic requirements, options may include conventional metal braces, ceramic braces, self-ligating braces, lingual braces and clear aligners, including Invisalign®. The most suitable option is recommended after a detailed assessment.
No. Clear aligners can treat many orthodontic problems, but suitability depends on the type and complexity of the malocclusion, oral health and the ability to wear aligners as prescribed. A clinical examination and appropriate records are required.
An early orthodontic assessment can identify developing problems involving the teeth, jaws and facial growth. Some children may benefit from early intervention, while others only need monitoring until the right treatment stage.
Yes. Adults with healthy teeth and supporting tissues can often undergo orthodontic treatment. The choice depends on the bite, oral health, treatment goals and lifestyle.
Duration varies with the type and severity of the problem, the treatment method and patient cooperation. Many cases take approximately 12–24 months, although simpler or more complex cases may take less or more time.
Placement is generally well tolerated. Mild pressure, tenderness or discomfort may occur for a few days after fitting or adjustment and usually settles as the mouth adapts.
Not every patient requires extractions. The decision depends on crowding, facial profile, jaw relationship and available space. Extractions are advised only where appropriate for the individual plan.
Retainers are usually required to help maintain the corrected tooth positions. The type of retainer, wear schedule and review plan are prescribed for the individual patient.
Fees depend on the diagnosis, case complexity, selected appliance and treatment requirements. A personalised plan and estimated cost can be discussed after examination and necessary records.
